July 8th  - August 23rd, 2024 - 9:00am - 3:30pm (Mon - Fri) - extended care available from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm 

At the Brookstone Academy Summer Program, students have so much fun they don't even realize it's educational! Our 7 week enriching and engaging program gives students the opportunity to maintain and advance their fundamental learning skills, develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, build confidence and develop social skills, through STEM projects, Engineering challenges, Coding & Robotics, Visual Art, Music, Drama/Dance, interest-based skill building opportunities, lots of outdoor activities, neighbourhood exploration and more! 

With only 30 spots available and a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1 (and usually even less than this thanks to our amazing volunteers) students benefit from personalized attention while working in small groups and developing meaningful relationships with peers and educators.

Students in JK-Grade 3 and Grade 4 - 8 will intermingle, develop relationships, share and grow their knowledge as they explore the many activities and options.  There are options for every skill level, so any amount of experience is welcome, from beginner too expert! Stations will include: 

Tech Station- Robotics, Coding and Deconstruction of Electronics

Visual Arts Station - Exploring a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, photography and film making.

STEM Station: STEM, STEAM & Engineering Challenges - Planning, Building, Testing and Redesigning Projects  

Drama / Dance Station - Exploring various forms of Dance and Dramatic techniques, including puppetry

Music  Station- Exploration and instruction in a variety of instruments 

Outdoor Education- Time to help tend the garden, explore our grounds and enjoy being in nature 

Math & Language Station: An opportunity for students to brush up on these fundamental skills in fun hands on, experiential way. Through games and activities students can address areas of struggle or challenge themselves further and get ready to take on their new grade ahead with confidence.
